About

Alison Duquette is a Canadian artist from Toronto, based in Frankfurt, Germany.

She received her BFA with a major in Drawing & Painting and a minor in History of Art from OCAD University in Toronto. She subsequently received a Master’s Degree (MLitt with Merit) in History of Art, Arts of Europe, from the University of Glasgow. Before moving to Frankfurt, she lived and worked in London, UK, first as a Specialist in the European Sculpture and Works of Art department at Sotheby’s, and later as a Creative Researcher at AMV BBDO. Research plays an essential role in her creative process, informing her work both technically and conceptually.

Her lifelong passion for painting drew her back to the studio full time. The creative energy from her two children acts as a constant source of inspiration for her work.

She specialises in oil and watercolour painting.
